Precision Gantry Systems
Anorad is the world's leader in precision gantries with an installed base of several thousand systems reliably operating around the world. The success of these products is due to Anorad's ability to competitively meet the aggressive performance demands of OEMs in an ever-increasing array of precision manufacturing processes.
Hercules Series Gantry X-Y stages
Anorad's standard low cost Hercules Series Gantries are designed for economy and performance. Their highly efficient layout provides the best utilization ratio of system X-Y travel to overall gantry footprint.
The Hercules family of gantries are designed to address a multitude of performance requirements for inspection, pick-and-place, assembly or dispensing applications. Taking advantage of economies-of-scale, the Hercules gantry stages are based on a single platform design. Many linear servo motor selections, linear encoder options and several travel lengths allow Anorad to uniquely support a variety of applications with a cost effective solution.
The standard model Hercules gantries feature Anorad's new LC iron core linear motors. These motors are ideally suited to meet the rapid point-to-point motion common in the electronics assembly industry. These high force LC motors, combined with a low mass, ridged webbed X-axis crossbeam, allows high acceleration to help maximize throughput.
Additional design features include cable carriers terminating at a fixed bulkhead connector. This provides for easy integration. Travel limits for both the X and Y axes are adjustable to optimize total work area. A variety of optical encoders with multiple resolutions can be selected based upon application requirements.
The Hercules Gantry is the first of its type to offer a standard modular base plate to reduce total gantry cost in a standard base configuration. This innovative design offers user flexibility with work surface fixturing and interchangeability. The modular base allows the machine builder to utilize the same machine on differently tooled multiple lines.
In addition to all these features, the Hercules Series Gantries can be supplied with many desirable value-added options including Z axis or Theta axis modules, servo drive and control packages, machine frames, enclosures and the complete line of over 500,000 world-class industrial automation products available only from Rockwell Automation.

Plainfield, IL — Weyerhaeuser has selected HPD to supply a new Chloride Removal Process (CRP) system as part of an installation of a new recovery boil
Plainfield, IL — Weyerhaeuser has selected HPD to supply a new Chloride Removal Process (CRP) system as part of an installation of a new recovery boiler at their Campti, LA mill.
The CRP system, a proprietary crystallization process from HPD, decreases concentration of chloride and potassium in the recovery cycle that become enriched in flue gas dust. Chloride and potassium, if left untreated, accumulate in the process and often lead to fouling of the recovery boiler, which can lead to corrosion and inefficient boiler operations. The Chloride Removal Process allows removal of these elements with efficient recovery of process chemicals such as sodium and sulfate. Savings in operating costs are realized through a reduction in chemical makeup costs that are associated with the dumping of precipitator ash as a means of removal.
The new system will be integrated into the existing recovery area at the Campti Mill. HPD will provide design, engineering and major equipment supply involved with the Chloride Removal Process

Kings Courtyard Inn
Uilt in 1853, Kings Courtyard Inn is one of the most historic Charleston Bed and Breakfast Inns. Architect Francis D. Lee designed the three-story antebellum structure in the Greek revival style with unusual Egyptian detail. The building is one of King Street's largest and oldest structures, and has had many uses in the 150 year existence-high quality shops, private residences, and at one time, the upper floors were used as an Inn catering to plantation owners, shipping interests and merchant guests. Kings Courtyard Inn is located at 198 King Street, in the heart of Charleston's historic district. In the late 1600's and early 1700's, King Street was the main "trail" leading into old Charles Towne. During the past three centuries, this quaint thoroughfare of small shops and charming homes has delighted and intrigued Charlestonians and visitors alike. The Inn maintains the residential atmosphere of lower King Street, and extreme care has been taken to ensure the necessary architectural and historic accuracy for which Charleston is famous. Each of the rooms has an individual distinction. All rooms feature oversized beds, some with canopied beds and fireplaces, and many have an excellent view of one of the inner courtyards. In addition, some with canopied beds and fireplaces, and living rooms with original architectural features. Comfort and services are of primary importance. All guests of the Inn will receive complimentary wine or sherry on arrival and a morning newspaper delivered to the room. They also receive a continental breakfast served each morning in their room, the courtyards, or in the breakfast room. Also, guests may order a full breakfast from the kitchen if they so choose. The Inn is within easy walking distance of Charleston's historic homes, gardens, and churches, the Shops of Charleston Place, and only a block away from the City Market area. Here, one may explore one interesting shop after another, barter for the unusual in the open market, or enjoy a delicious meal at one of many delightful restaurants.
Robotic suit helps paralyzed walk
LONDON, England (CNN) -- A new robotic suit could transform the lives of paralyzed people, giving them the ability to walk again.
The invention, known as ReWalk, acts like a kind of exoskeleton. It consists of lightweight, motorized leg supports and an assortment of intricate motion sensors.
Users wear a backpack that holds a computerized control box which helps the medical device recognize when a step needs to be taken.
"Standing changes my whole environment. I don't have to look from the bottom up. Now I am eye to eye with everybody," Radi Kaiof, who has used the device, told CNN.
Kaiof, a former Israeli soldier, was paralyzed from the waist down 20 years ago. He doesn't have feeling in his legs but is still able to move with the use of the robotic suit
With the assistance of crutches, which offer balance and support, people paralyzed from the waist down can walk, bend, sit and even climb stairs when they wear the suit.
The futuristic invention offers an alternative to using a wheelchair for those who have functioning upper bodies and are capable of standing with the use of supports.
It is the creation of Dr. Amit Goffer, an engineer and founder of Haifa, Israel-based high-tech firm Argo Medical Technologies. Goffer was inspired to create the device more than a decade ago after he became disabled in an accident.
The medical technology that could help paraplegics do what was once considered impossible isn't available for purchase yet. The device wasn't ready for testing until late 2007 and currently is in clinical trials in Tel Aviv. *
More trials are planned for the United States and Europe, and if the product receives the necessary approvals, it could hit the market in 2010.
The price of the device hasn't been set yet, but is expected to be comparable with the typical average yearly expense of using a wheelchair.
The robotic suit improves the quality of life of people paralyzed from the waist down, according to Goffer, who wanted to give paraplegics an alternative to using a wheelchair. It also benefits their overall health since it keeps their bodies active all day long, he says.
But when it comes down to it, the invention is all about helping people regain respect. Dignity is "the No. 1 problem" for people who use wheelchairs, says Goffer.
For Kaiof, the former soldier, the robotic suit has changed his life. Before he tried it on, his daughter had never seen him stand before.
When he stood before her for the first time, she couldn't believe just how tall he was, he recounted to CNN.

Pittsburgh Places
Like No Place Else
Pittsburgh is a sports town. And a cultural town. And a zoo town. And more than just stadiums, museums and animals. Carnegie Mellon students can often be found attending a Pirates game, visiting the Andy Warhol Museum, hiking through Frick Park and riding the incline up Mount Washington to enjoy one of the best city views in the nation.
Professional Sports
In Pittsburgh, the "black and gold" could mean any of our professional sports teams. The five-time Super Bowl champion Steelers make their home at Heinz Field, while our baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates, play at PNC Park. Our hockey team, the Penguins, skate at Mellon Arena, located in the uptown district of Pittsburgh.
Zoo, Aquarium and Aviary
The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium is one of America's few zoo and aquarium combinations. With animals from the endangered snow leopard to the giant elephant to the western lowland gorilla, Pittsburgh Zoo boasts habitats like the Asian Forest, the African Savanna and Cheetah Valley. And the aquarium features a crawl-through stingray tunnel, a two-story shark tank and revolving tanks that house everything from Beluga to jellyfish to potbellied sea horses.
The National Aviary, on Pittsburgh's North Side, is the nation's only independent, indoor, non-profit zoo dedicated exclusively to birds. At the aviary, you'll find winged wonders from the smallest hummingbirds to the lofty red-crowned cranes.
Museums
Pop Art comes alive at Pittsburgh's Andy Warhol Museum. (Did you know: Warhol graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology — now named Carnegie Mellon University). Even more contemporary art — installation art — will surround you at The Mattress Factory. What once was an industrial plant for bed-making is now one of the few museums of its kind. Anywhere.
But, if you're looking for a wide range of styles and periods, The Carnegie Museum of Art is a must-see. Within the same structure as the Carnegie Museum of Natural history, the art museum contains the largest collection of plaster casts of architectural masterpieces in America and one of the three largest in the world. Carnegie Mellon also participates in many community partnerships like the Arts Pass Program that provides free admission for students to some of Pittsburgh's most interesting attractions.
Outdoor Parks and Slopes
Just a jaunt away from Carnegie Mellon's campus, Frick Park is the city's largest park, covering 600 acres. Schenley Park is even closer to campus and offers an outdoor pool, skating rink and plenty of open space to play sports.
When the temperature falls, so does the snow. Skiers and snowboarders can strap on their gear and visit two winter destinations within 90 minutes of campus. Hidden Valley and Seven Springs Mountain Resorts feature both down-hill and cross-country trails.
Pittsburgh Incline
A view of the city's skyline is rarely better than from atop Mount Washington, just 10 minutes from Carnegie Mellon's campus. To get the panoramic view, Pittsburghers and tourists alike often ride the Duquesne Incline. Featuring two original 1877 cable cars, the incline travels from a low-lying area in the South Side to the top of one of Pittsburgh's most famous hills — Mount Washington — home to eclectic eateries and historic neighborhoods.

Technology in Multiphase Flow Metering
technologie in Multiphase Flow MeteringA range of world leading Tracerco technologies can be used to ensure your flow metering systems run at maximum efficiency. These specialist services are used on-stream to calibrate one, two or three phase flows to confirm the accuracy of a variety of installed meters.Areas of application include:* Measurement of gas flow rate* Measurement of water flow rate* Measurement of hydrocarbon condensate flow rate* Independent measurement of shrinkageTechnology in multiphase flow rate calibrationFor many years two-phase and multi-phase flows have been common throughout the oil and gas industry. Until recently, such flows were measured by separating the flow into its constituent components in a test separator followed by conventional single phase metering techniques. In the constant drive towards more efficient production, development has been focused away from traditional test separators towards more flexible lower cost multiphase metering. Along with these meters goes the need for periodic in-situ calibration. This has led to the development of the TRACERCO Diagnostics™ PhaseCal.The principle of the measurement is based on the tracer dilution technique that Tracerco have been using for more than forty years. Tracerco can offer the service using either radioactive or non-radioactive tracers. In order to obtain the best quality information, each particular measurement will require subtle changes in the technique. Tracerco’s well trained staff can draw upon years of experience in this technology to ensure that the client gets the maximum amount of useful information from the tests

NetBSD Toaster with the TS-7200 ARM9 SBC
It has long been regarded that the UNIX-like OS NetBSD is portable to every type of machine except perhaps your kitchen toaster. Technologic Systems, however, has conquered this last frontier. Using one of its rugged embedded TS-7200 single-board computers housed inside the empty space of a standard 2 slice toaster, Technologic Systems has designed a functional NetBSD controlled toaster.
The toaster on display now in the NetBSD booth at the LinuxWorld Expo in San Francisco, is as high-tech as they come. This toaster features a 4 line LCD, USB keyboard, 10/100 ethernet port and a RS232 serial port for the external console. The toaster's internal circuit boards have been bypassed and routed through the CPU board allowing NetBSD complete control over the toaster's features. A keyboard connects through a USB port on the side of the toaster and the 4x40 LCD displays a NetBSD/toaster login prompt. The burner element is also controlled by the TS-7200 via an internal relay. Unlike previous NetBSD toasters which were nothing more than a glorified PC case-mod, this toaster can actually toast bread!
NetBSD was ported to the toaster by Jesse Off (an engineer at Technologic Systems). When asked details about the week-long effort, he replied, "NetBSD is well laid out for this type of embedded application development. I was most worried about physical things such as fitting the hardware inside the case and the board being able to survive 60 seconds at a time a half centimeter away from an 800 watt burner element. A regular PC can't even survive room temperature without heatsinks and fans, and the TS-7200 has neither." The end-design has no thermal issues and will not let the user toast if things start getting close to the temperature margins of the internal components measured by the onboard temperature sensor.
When asked what he thinks of the NetBSD operating system, Off replied, "Well, I'm skewed. I have been a small-time NetBSD developer on and off the last 4 years. NetBSD's single no-frills high quality source tree is a great starting point for bringing up an embedded application. The API's have a great power-to-complexity ratio and are coded with great wisdom as well as great intellect. For NetBSD though, being wiser is definitely the greater virtue."
When asked what the point of this exercise was, company president Bob Miller chuckled and had this to say: "Well, we're definitely not planning on going into full production with this. The idea was to follow through on a process most of our customers are using everyday in their own embedded designs using our boards. Though customers are not likely using toasters in their designs, they are likely encountering many of of the same issues such as GPIO control of hardware, custom software design/modification and dealing with tight spaces and high temperatures."
So what exactly is inside this toaster for a computer to read/control? For one, there is a small magnetic latch that holds your toast down against the spring action after you press down. To engage that latch, one needs to know when the user is pressing the bread into the toaster which the TS-7200 reads with another sensor. There is a browning level knob (a potentiometer) which the TS-7200 reads with an analog converter input. The front panel also contains 4 bright red LEDs and 5 push-buttons which appear to the system as a 5-key keyboard. The NetBSD LCD driver presents a standard VT100 text mode console that both the USB keyboard and 5-key front-panel are connected.
Technical Details
All peripherals had NetBSD drivers written that allow their manipulation and readback. The interface to toaster hardware uses the sysctl API. sysctl allowed for the easy coding of the toasting finite state machine as a simple shell script. The 4 LED's are configured as PWM style outputs to vary brightness/blink-rate. Temperature is tracked using the TS-7200 onboard TMP124 sensor. This temperature sensor has .0625 degC precision and the kernel driver takes multiple measurements averaged over time to interpolate even higher precision. (the sysctl returns millionths of a degree C) The burnlevel knob is a potentiometer connected to channel 0 of the 12-bit MAX197 ADC which returns a number 0-4096 to the system also via sysctl. The 5 buttons are simple switches that are polled at 64Hz by NetBSD's matrix keypad driver. This driver allows for attachment into the system as a standard keyboard using NetBSD's wskbd API. The 4x40 text mode LCD is a raw HD44780 based LCD available at allelectronics.com This devices uses the bit-banged hd44780 kernel driver which allows attachment into the system as a standard NetBSD wsdisplay. The wsdisplay and wskbd drivers coallesce in the wscons framework to appear to the system as a regular VT100 system console.
A full NetBSD installation is on the 512MB compact flash attached to the TS-7200. This includes self-hosted compilers, FTP/telnet server, ssh client/server, crypto libraries, kernel/userlevel debuggers, and standard UNIX utilities. Apache with PHP is also installed on the TS-7200 and presents some CGI programs to control the LEDs, play music, etc... Since the 4x40 LCD is attached as a generic console, manipulating text files is also reasonably possible using installed text editors, though admittedly using vi on a 4 row text display is not particularly productive.
The toaster itself uses a single TS-7200 plus TS-DIO24 daughterboard for toaster control. Two 48mA output pins on the TS-DIO24 directly drive 2 5V relays with 250V/8A contacts. One relay is used to switch 110V to the burner element and one relay is used to switch 25VDC to the magnetic latch. 25VDC is acquired by tapping off some traces on the stock toaster circuit board after the power supply. All traces from the power supply portion of the PCB to the LEDs and buttons were cut and instead attached to the TS-DIO24 and TS-7200 GPIO pins via small jumper wires soldered directly to the components. A separate, small 5V switching power supply is also placed inside the toaster shell to power the TS-7200, TS-DIO24, and LCD off the same 110V line that comes in through the toaster shell. The TS-7200's USB port, DB9 serial console, and ethernet jack are brought out on jacks on the backside of the toaster. The USB port is then used to connect a small PC keyboard to the system which combines with the 5 key wskbd to control the 4x40 LCD display console. USB speakers are attached through the built-in USB hub on the keyboard to allow playing of MP3's while toasting occurs.
Plazac, the Village:
The little medieval village of Plazac lies in the heart of the Perigord noir, famous for its history, its gastronomy and its joie-de-vivre. The village square sits at the feet of the 12th century roman church. It is a 15 minute drive to Montingnac or Les Eyzies, both famous for prehistoric caves. Cromagnon man once strolled these valleys. The village has its own bakery, only a one minute walk from the front door. The bakery has a small grocery store. Next to it is a post office and across the street is a wonderful cafe/bar. Five minutes walk down the road is a co-operative organic grocery store, Le Mille Feuilles. Local activities include hikes on the dozen walking trails in the hills around the village, canoeing on the Vezere, horse back riding and tennis on the town courts. The Surrounding Area:
There are two full supermarkets close by: one a 15 minute drive in Montignac and the other in Rouffignac just a 6 minutes drive (both are open 6 days a week and Sunday mornings). Many local towns offer traditional street markets – in Montignac (Wednesday, Saturday); nearby Rouffignac has a Sunday morning market where local farmers offer freshly picked vegetables, fresh foie gras and a large variety of local cheeses; the Wednesday and Saturday markets in Sarlat are famous, as is the Sunday market in Saint Cyprien. The Perigord noir is a gourmet’s paradise and there are many excellent restaurants nearby.
The Dordogne Region:
The Perigord Noir is the jewel of the Dordogne. This is the land of 1,000 chateaux. There are medieval towns everywhere. The Dordogne River (15 minutes drive) formed the border between France and the English territory of Acquitaine during the Hundred Year’s War. Castles were often built in pairs, one French, one English, on opposite sides of the river. In the Valley of the Five Chateaux (15 minutes drive) Castelnaud still features a medieval catapult, which once hurled rocks across the Dordogne at Castle Beynac (still occupied by the Count). Sarlat-la-Caneda (30 minutes drive) is a preserved medieval city where you can wander the narrow streets and marvel at the beauty of the architecture. The vibrant, more modern city of Perigueux (30 minutes drive) is known as the truffle capital. Also nearby are the medieval towns of Domme, Rocamadour, Saint Cyprien, Meyrals, Berbigueieres, Le Roque Gageac, and the bastide town of Monpazier. Bergerac is a one hour drive away.

The owners put an enormous amount of thought into making the house comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable for visitors. The house has every modern convenience, plus a beautiful pool and garden. Our two week stay was simply glorious. We also loved the charming town of Plazac.
We did a lot of sightseeing and were totally smitten with the beautiful Dordogne. I highly recommend the prehistoric caves (Lascaux II/Lascaux Revele, Grotte de Font-de-Gaume (you need a reservation) plus a fascinating cave in Le Moustier. In addition, we visited the unbelievable, Gouffre de Padirac (bring a sweater!)
The castles and gardens in the region were also phenomenal. We went to many and found the architecture and history so interesting. We canoed on the Vezere and took a river boat trip on the Dordogne River. Both great fun. Loved the medieval "Bastide" towns. One of our favorite towns was the charming, Saint Leon sur Vezere. Sarlat is fantastic and so interesting.
The regional food and wines were spectacular. We visited a different market almost every day and were in awe of the amazing types of cheeses, fruits, foie gras, meats, etc. and of course, wine! Our general routine was to have a wonderful lunch out in a restaurant in whatever town we were visiting, go to a local market and then come back to the house and cook dinner. We love to cook and had great dinners, given the terrific foods that were available not only in the wonderful daily markets but also the supermarche! Needless to say, the local wines were superb. One more thought on food, our ten year old daughter is a very picky eater. After two or three days, she was eating foie gras sandwiches for breakfast and begging for more!
Lastly, the Sliepenbeeks (next door neighbors/caretakers) were extraordinary. They were caring, thoughtful and great fun. We enjoyed meeting them and they were so helpful and kind.
We had the most wonderful vacation. We can't wait to return to La Maison Jean Sylain Dupont and the Dordogne.

We loved our two weeks in the Dordogne; the friends we made and the magnificent sights we visited. Our stay was even better than anticipated.
We were overjoyed to find such a wonderful "home" waiting for us upon our arrival in Plazac, with all the creature comforts you afforded our weary bones.
Ineke and Theo were ready and willing to assist us when called upon... and
gracious no matter what the hour.

Jan,
We really did enjoy our stay in Plazac. The weather was nice and cool, and for the most part sunny. Although the pool water was a little cool by our Texas standards (below 70 while we were there), the children of our French friends (who live in Brittany) loved it. The garden was fabulous. We had lunch out there a number of days, and dinner on a few more. The swallows were just back, and nesting. They collected moss from the neighbor's roof and then water from the pool for nest building. The Magpies were just fledging, and the Yucca plant flowered during our stay. The herb garden was very much appreciated, as well as the un-believably well-stocked kitchen. By the end of our visit, were were surprised if there was some obscure kitchen tool that wasn't there. We braised market-bought fowl in the cast-iron, enameled pot, we sautéed mushrooms and made omelets in the pans, and even baked our Bretagne Gallette and fresh fruit desert in the oven (it was the height of strawberry season). It was the best equipped kitchen we've had in France.
BTW: We made the trip back and forth from Plazac to Libourne, St. Emilion et al. a couple of times, so we got to know the route pretty well, it was no trouble writing up the description.
Talk to you soon, I suppose--you know us, we'll be hankering for a return to Paris soon. Next time we think we'll try Mark and Tim's place in the 8th.
Best,
Dave H. Houston, TX

Quantum Dot Corporation (QDC) announces two additions to its nanocrystal-based family of fluorescent labels: the Qtracker 655 Kit for loading Qdot nanocrystals into live cells and the Qdot 705 streptavidin conjugate for ultra-bright, near-infrared bio-detection.
Qtracker 655 Kit
The Qtracker 655 Kit is the first in a new line of labeling reagents designed for introducing Qdot nanocrystal-based fluorochromes into live cells. The Qtracker kit utilizes custom-targeting peptides to deliver the extremely bright Qdot nanocrystals to the cytoplasm. Once inside the cells, the Qdot nanocrystals provide highly photostable fluorescence that doesn't bleach over time or under extensive, continuous illumination and observation.
"The Qtracker 655 Kit is an excellent tool for long-term studies of migration, motility, morphology and many other characteristics where the cell must be observed over time, even through several generations of cell division," explains Charlie Hotz, QDC's director of labels R&D.
QDC says Qtracker quantum dots are easy to use in powerful experimental designs because they do not add unwanted autofluorescence, are not transferred to adjacent cells in the population and display excellent retention properties. Qdot nanocrystals are inert and nontoxic to all tested cell types. They may be still observed in cells a week or more after transfection.
Qdot 705 Streptavidin Conjugate
QDC also introduces the Qdot 705 Streptavidin Conjugate, the brightest near-infrared fluorophore available by far. This new conjugate is ideal for applications requiring visualization in turbid, opaque or otherwise scattering media such as in vivo experiments.
The Qdot 705 Streptavidin conjugate is useful in a wide range of applications, including: immunohistochemistry, in vivo labeling, western blots, solid-phase immunosorbent assays and flow cytometry.
Far-red and near-infrared light penetrates much more deeply into samples such as tissues, gels and animals than typical visible light, and also escapes from a greater depth. Additionally, autofluorescent background is significantly diminished in this spectral region, particularly when excitation is in the blue or UV range. Emission is well beyond the spectral range of typical sample autofluorescence. Also, scattering and other optical effects which reduce resolution are minimized in the red. These qualities are now coupled with the exceptional brightness and stability enabled by Qdot nanotechnology.
The Qdot 705 Streptavidin conjugate can be used with other colors of Qdot conjugates for multicolor analysis. It is orders of magnitude more photostable than Cy5 streptavidin conjugates and can be excited at many different wavelengths including 633nm, 532, and 405nm -- common sources in an array of existing instrument platforms.
"At last year's cell biology meeting, we launched our company's first product. Since then, the product portfolio has been expanded significantly to include 6 Qdot colors and a range of different biomolecules including antibodies, streptavidin, protein A, and biotin. We are also beginning to see our customers publish landmark scientific papers, enabled by our Qdot products," said Carol Lou, QDC's president.
Quantum dots are nanoscale crystals of semiconductor material that glow, or fluoresce brightly when excited by a light source such as a laser. They are used by life-science researchers as tiny beacons, or markers, allowing them to easily see individual genes, nucleic acids, proteins or small molecules. Qdot conjugates work by seeking out and bonding with target materials. Once bound to a target, each individual Qdot particle emits light. Depending on their size, they can glow in a variety of colors and are up to 1,000 times brighter than fluorescent dyes.

BRUGES HOTELS
Bruges is called : 'the Venice of the North'. This splendid medieval city is one of Belgium's crown jewels. In no other European city the feel and the look of medieval times are so present as here in this city close to the North Sea.
Today's Bruges has a population of about 45.000 people (the old center) or 120.000 people (center together with the suburbs). These numbers clearly show that Bruges is not a tiny miniature city. It ranks, even today, among the important cities of Belgium. It is also the capital of the Belgian province of West-Flanders. A lot of people take day-trips from Brussels to Bruges, but there is to much to see here to fill only 1 day. The best way to visit Bruges is to spend at least one night in one of the many beautiful and cozy hotels. Later in the evening, when all the tourists have gone, Bruges finds back its charm and quiet of old times. When one is lucky with the weather, a stroll through the tiny medieval streets can be an enchanting experience. Bruges is always beautiful, in the summertime as well as in the wintertime. Lucky visitors will never forget the city after they have seen it on a snowy December or January day.
Bruges is unique, in the sense that here the town authorities have done the utmost to preserve the medieval-looking image of the city. Of course, not every stone in Bruges has come to us straight from the Middle-Ages. The 19th century neo-gothic style is more present than one should think. Because of these 19th century renovations, some critics have put Bruges down as a 'fake' medieval city. Nevertheless, the combination of old, not so old and new fascinates everyone who first sets foot in Bruges.

Technology in Multiphase Flow Metering
technologie in Multiphase Flow Metering
A range of world leading Tracerco technologies can be used to ensure your flow metering systems run at maximum efficiency.
These specialist services are used on-stream to calibrate one, two or three phase flows to confirm the accuracy of a variety of installed meters.
Areas of application include:
* Measurement of gas flow rate
* Measurement of water flow rate
* Measurement of hydrocarbon condensate flow rate
* Independent measurement of shrinkage
Technology in multiphase flow rate calibration
For many years two-phase and multi-phase flows have been common throughout the oil and gas industry.
This has led to the development of the TRACERCO Diagnostics™ PhaseCal.
The principle of the measurement is based on the tracer dilution technique that Tracerco have been using for more than forty years.
HOTEL AİKEN Hotel Overview
Why not get away from the “cookie-cutter” Hotels for once and give us a try? We are sure you will enjoy the experience.
Originally built in 1898 the Hotel has gone through many changes and the original building has gone through a series of major and continuous renovations since 2001, with the accent on retaining the historical feel of this landmark building whilst providing all the modern amenities one would expect from a contemporary Hotel, such as free use of hard-wired HSIA in all rooms. The rooms and bathrooms have been completely overhauled and tastefully appointed. Our main bar, The Polo Tavern, is one of downtown Aiken’s most popular watering holes. We have live entertainment on Wednesday, Thurday, Friday and Saturday nights and are open seven days a week. The recently added Tiki Tavern on the back patio has already been awarded the title of “Best New Bar” in Aiken for 2006 by readers of the prestigious Augusta Magazine. ** Don't forget to check out our newly opened ultra-hip wine bar, One Hundred Laurens! **
Due to the popularity of both our bars it should be noted when making reservations that we are very much “party central” in Aiken and if you’re looking for a lively, fun and busy venue, especially on weekends, then you should stay with us. Located on Richland Avenue, we are the only Hotel in town that is truly in the heart of downtown and therefore we are walking distance from all of Aiken’s many other excellent restaurants, bars and stores.

Huntron Scanners
Add Scanning Capabilites to Your Huntron Tracker Model 30 System
Adding a Huntron® Scanner to your Tracker Model 30 system lets you access components using standard DIP clips and cables, custom cables to PCB connectors or interface to a bed-of-nails.
You can compare one component with another in real-time (64 pins max.) or use your PC to automate testing and scan up to 128 pins.
Huntron Scanners can be used with a Huntron Access Prober to provide Common line connections while the Prober is probing a PCB. This method gives you up to 128 selectable Commons to use. For example, you can connect the Scanner to a connector on a PCB mounted in the Prober using a common ribbon style cable. While the Prober is probing, any one of the lines on the connected ribbon cable can be selected as the Common reference. This would provide you true point-to-point testing capabilities.
Note: The ProTrack Scanner will be replaced by the Scanner II and/or the Scanner 31S effective 1/1/2008. This applies to commercial sales only.
Scanner II and Scaner 31S users may want to consider these Optional Accessories to enhance their test capabilities.
Highlights:
* The Scanner II and Scanner 31S accessories add scanning capability to the Tracker Model 30
* All Scanners have a minimum 64 pin capability
* The Scanner II can scan up to 128 pins when the A and B channels are combined
* The Scanner 31S use standard IDC style connectors
* The Scanner II uses the common SCSI-2 (68 pin) style connectors
* Up to 8 Scanner IIs can be “daisy-chained” to increase the available number of test pins
Selecting Accessories for your Scanner II
The Scanner II accessories for interfacing to your printed circuit board come "ala carte". This means that you select the accessories you want included with your Scanner. Choose from SMT or through-hole style DIP clip and cable kits (Scanner Adapter required with Scanner II) or a mutli-pin breakout cable. Details on these accessories are provided on this page.

Casolare San Lorenzo
Tuscany Pisa - Montespertoli Casolare San Lorenzo Tuscany Pisa - Montespertoli Casolare San Lorenzo
DESCRIPTION:
Casolare San Lorenzo. Set in a completely private estate of 84 hectares, Casolare San Lorenzo is in an area of conservation where no modern building can disrupt the lovely panoramic vistas. Once part of an aristocratic estate, the handsome 250 year old mansion is evocative of its past grandeur, a distinction enhanced by the extensive landscaped gardens.
Casolare San Lorenzo would be an excellent choice for those who wish to spend their holiday in the peace and calm of the tuscan countryside while still being able to go on day trips and visit the important sites such as Florence, Chianti area, Siena and San Gimignano. The beautiful hilltop setting means the farm is a couple of kilometres from the nearest town of Montespertoli.
To reach the farm you have to drive up a stretch of road which is virtually unchanged from its original state, a long winding white cobbled path, an anticipation of the authentic tuscan experience of Casolare San Lorenzo. All rooms are provided with the essentials for a comfortable stay. There is a kitchen with cooking facilities and sofa beds for those who wish to add a guest or two as well as modern shower rooms.
