Valdarno

Il Pino Bioagricoltura. The village of Castiglion Ubertini, Terranova Bracciolini (Arezzo) takes its name from the powerful feudal Ubertini Family. Its origin dates to the end of the 12th century, but many "chipped flint stones" have been found which show the existence of a pre-historic site. The castle is composed of the main building, the workers' premises, and the small church of San Giorgio. It was destroyed by the Florentine militia in 1342. The farmhouse dates back to the late Middle Ages. The original central core was a sighting tower, given its strategic position overlooking the Valdarno area.
Around the natural oasis of the Valle dell'Inferno, in the heart of Tuscany between Florence and Arezzo, in an enclave of organic farming amongst rows of Malvasia vines, organic strawberry plantations, meadows of medicinal herbs, olive groves, in an unpolluted area is where the historic house named Il Pino was renovated, respecting the style of old country farmhouses. Even the furniture has been restored keeping the original rustic Tuscan style known as "arte povera", but with all modern conveniences including Internet connection. The farm is an "organic farming oasis". For this reason, the farming system is certified by the AIAB, the Italian Association for Organic Farming, that has assigned the operating number B1027.

A place for relaxation and regeneration, an extraordinary natural cocktail! Lie down in this fully equipped room, and enjoy the simultaneous benefits of inhaling an essential oils cocktail, one of nature’s precious gifts, which is released into the air by a controlled evaporation system. This has an antiseptic and general bactericidal effect, and above all relaxes the body while stimulating the circulation. This cocktail has been put together by experts and is exclusive to Il Pino’s aromatherapy. Crystal therapy: Developing from its empirical applications at the dawn of Man, crystal therapy has now become a science. Crystals, which are regularly given a special treatment, are placed in the same room together, each with their own specific electromagnetic field, and oscillatory frequency: the same elements which, via frequency interaction, play an active part in the processes behind our bodies’ well-being. On one hand, we find Hyaline Quartz, a purifying element which brings sensations of purification and regeneration. On the other hand there is Amethyst, which radiates intuition and lucidity. Music therapy: ancestral sounds fill the room, as do sounds of nature, such as breaking waves, waterfalls, forests, etc.

From the stairs on the inside there is access to the first floor where you have a view of the fields. You can reach the attic flat by private interior stairs. Fiordaliso
(2+2 pax) 75 sq m, under the angular Tuscan terra-cotta roof, situated on the 1st floor reached by an original stone staircase. View of the fields. APARTMENTS AT THE FIENILE
Renovated in 2004, the building was originally a barn, and it overlooks the vineyards. The renovation fully respected the Tuscan style with cotto floors and wooden beams. There is a splendid covered outdoor barbeque. The four independent apartments are each composed of kitchenette with dishwasher and refrigerator; living room with sofa bed, satellite TV, video recorder and safe; bedroom with double bed and a bathroom.
